2009 in Review

Two years ago is when I first discovered Love Systems. My life has changed in so many ways since then. The great thing about dating science is that it’s intertwined with self-help and I’ve been practicing the latter for a few years already. In 2009 I took self-help even more serious than just reading books.

That’s when I first started setting goals AND working towards them. I just finished “Eat That Frog” by Brian Tracy, a book on goal setting and getting work done. I also just finished The 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris. Yes….2010 is going to be better than 2009, but I’m going to get back to that in another post.

I had a lot of big goals and small goals in 2009 and I can say I have achieved all of them except for one.

Here are a couple goals:
-Becoming a Love Systems instructor (October 2009)
-Read 10 self-help books (December 2009)
-Buy a new car (October 2009)
-Have $x amount in savings account (December 2009)

These were the big goals. What I learned is that just setting goals does not work. For each goal, you need a game plan how you are going to achieve your goal. This was again affirmed when I was reading “Eat That Frog” (which I highly recommend).

For example, you can read that my goal was to officially become a Love Systems instructor. That’s a goal but how do you become one? Well, you need to have good game. You need to have understanding how Love Systems works. You need to be able to teach. You need to be able to get along with other instructors and students. And so on. Every big goal has smaller goals.

Once you have that broken down, then you can work towards the big goal by tackling all the small goals. Here is a very simple diagram how that works.

How to Become Love Systems Instructor

The only goal I didn’t achieve was getting my body fat under 10%. I didn’t even come close. I’m at 15% now, which is way too much. In 2010 I’m going to tackle this goal as a big priority. In fact, I’ve started already by committing myself going to the gym 3/week for strength training and once a week for cardio. On top of that, I’m adding more protein to my nutrition.

Overall, I’m happy how 2009 went. I’ve met more women than ever before and financially I’ve taken a leap. Next week I’ll post what some of my goals are for 2010.

How was your 2009?

Your diagrams are great haha. You do have a creative mind my friend ;)

Ive been practicing and learning this stuff for about 2 years now, getting laid is as easy as picking up a dozens of eggs from the shelve of the grocery store lol. Inner game and day game have gotten very easy to the point I've been experimenting with a lot of different routines lately.

Just finished Magic Bullets, starting the routines manuals.

Just need to read all these self-help and social circle books I bought, along with your online phone-text game once I get the chance :)

Oh man, looks like I have a long way to go before even considering to work for LoveSystems.

Can't wait to meet y'all in one of the bootcamps/seminars.

Nice job Tesla. If you need to read a lot of books, I highly recommend getting a Kindle. In the last 2 weeks I've read 3 books with ease. I get a lot of reading done on the Kindle.

But man, this is really the simplified version of becoming a Love Systems instructor. Maybe some time in the future I might elaborate on that a little more. Also, every year it's becoming harder and harder to become an instructor. Just FYI.

If you want to meet all of us at once, you should come to the Super Conference. It's once a year and we all go there to hangout, teach, and have a good time.

Haha I've been reading your tweets and your blog posts, you and your kindle. I was hoping someone would get me one for Christmas but didnt happen.

Thanks man, and yea I know its pretty hard I read the lovesystems page on becoming an instructor. You guys probably have a line up of people wanting to join the company.
Teaching and mastering the art of becoming a Dating Coach and PUA is a passion now haha, I'm currently taking people every weekends to teach them in field stuff. Maybe Ill link your blog to mine lol, you were right about your blog being very informative haha.

I'm definitely going to try the SuperConference and maybe you can give me some dating tips and I'll teach you some stuff about working out and cutting. ;)

If you really want to become one, you will become one. It's really how bad you want it.

I could definitely use some help on working out and cutting! I'm getting to eating 6 meals a day now and just focusing on protein. One question: muscle milk before bed. Good or bad?

  • http://www.attractionempire.net/ Tesla

Protein is essential but gotta watch out for some fats too. Do you follow a diet plan or just try to eat 6 healthy meals with consisting as much protein as possible?

I'd say its bad but its no that bad either. Muscle Milk contains Fast processing protein, like protein shakes. These proteins are absorbed into your body at a lot faster rate, so when your sleeping your body will run out of protein to chow down on. Slow processing protein on the other hand stay in your body and slowly dissolve. Cottage cheese is an amazing source of slow protein. Its also recommended to consume some veggies before bed just so when the body is digesting in sleep the vegetable's chlorophyll cleanses the body from wastes.

Yeah I'm more lazy about this. I just want to eat 6 small healthy meals and have as much protein as possible.

I thought Muscle milk uses casein (or something) that was supposed to be slow burning as opposed to whey. Too bad I don't like cottage cheese…can't stand it!

The six small meals a day is the best way to do it. If you're really interested, check out Tom Venuto's Burn the Fat, Feed The Muscle ebook. My friend used his guidelines religiously to get down to 5% (unhealthy looking) and then started building back the fat along with increased muscle. Takes a lot of discipline, though.

Tom Venuto's one of my mentors :-) I met him in person last year, amazing and smart guy. Its hard to meet people like him in this industry because he always preaches the most natural ways to get success unlike most of the other trainers always making you buy supplements.

  • http://www.asiandatingcoach.com Bonsai

Wow 5%? I don't think I can get to that. Last year I was around 9.7% and I was really happy with that. I looked fit and I could almost eat anything I wanted without worrying too much. That to me is the way to go.

I don't need to look super lean, just fit. But I'll check the book out. Thanks man!

Casein is an element of calcium, its basically a protein itself. Muscle Milk I believe has 33% of calcium in it and the other amino acids as well. The protein from cottage cheese is unprocessed, or Peanut butter since you dislike cottage haha, the unprocessed protein disolves slowly. Calcium + Protein are the two best things to bed because well you repair the broken tissues and muscle fibers as well as make your bones stronger and feed the endorphins to balance out your chemical levels.
